We Are Here to Listen
Westfield Counseling Services is located at 5 Noble Ave, Westfield, MA
We are a collection of independently operating and practicing counselors dedicated to helping people realize their individual goals and feel better in meaningful ways. Because we are all independently practicing, we do not have one central number for you to call, in order to inquire about services, you must contact each counselor you are interested in separately.
Each counselor who shares this web space wants what is best for you, and only you can decide what that is. So please feel free to contact one or all of us to see what seems to make the most sense for you or your family member.
We also understand that even after talking or meeting with one of us, you may decide the fit is not right. Feel free to tell that counselor and they will do their best to refer you to another counselor either within or outside of our offices who can better assist you.
We really mean it when we say we want what is best for you!

From time to time, most of us have internal conflicts. When in conflict there are "parts" of us that become unbalanced by challenging beliefs, attitudes, and feelings that were taken on at different stages of life.
When we feel trapped and burdened by inner conflicts and also by our efforts to avoid hurt and pain, counseling can guide and support us in bringing curiosity and compassion to all of our "parts" with the aim of restoring balance, and having more inner harmony. Supportive counseling can guide you to tap into your inner wisdom and develop the self-knowledge, and self-acceptance you need to work with your life challenges.
As a counselor I bring over 30 years experience working with children, youth, and families in a variety of professional settings. Over these years I have come to know that we are all capable of living deeply fulfilling lives, and that beneath whatever suffering we may be experiencing, we are all a wonderful and meaningful part of this world. My collaborative counseling approach aims to help clients safely embody presence, perspective, curiosity, creativity, playfulness and compassion by interweaving the principles of Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, Intimacy from the Inside Out (IFIO) Couple therapy, and the practice of Mindfulness.

When life is challenging, our old habits tend to run the show. In our work together I support you in making real, lasting change in how you feel about yourself and your capabilities, allowing for new, productive habits and beliefs to create the life you want.

Life has wonderful qualities as well as difficulties which impacts people of all ages. Embarking on a journey to further explore, learn, making personal changes or supporting your family can be filled with an array of emotions. The wide range of the emotional world is a natural part of life.
Adaptive coping, is something any adult or child may at some point need support with. In my practice, all ages are welcome and I have extensive experiences working with children. When working with children the power of family involvement is often critical for the goal being sought after with therapy. I can help with the impact of trauma, attachment issues, processing adoption story, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. I also support clients and families who are exploring gender identity.
I offer traditional talk therapy as well as alternative therapies such as sand tray therapy, art therapy and play therapy for children. These expressive, hands-on approaches are powerful tools that deepen our work and can lead to greater understanding of ourselves. As a therapist, I am present to guide you (and your family) to where you want to go.
